The format of an institutional-investor-based program is beneficial to the selected companies presenting, in that it provides the companies privacy with major investors and analysts to interact with each other directly. This has proven to be a very lucrative formula for both company executives and major investors.
Since 1988, Ms. Ashby, CEO of MINE LLC, has organized more than 40 major international conferences and over 100 regional meetings for the natural resources industry, primarily in gold mining. The specialized format of private, by-invitation-only venues have attracted the world's largest fund managers to the conferences and attained world-renowned status.
MINE LLC was formed in 2005 to create and organize world-class investment conferences for the Natural Resources industries with quality programming.
Since its formation, MINE LLC has hosted conferences for the oil and gas industry and the mining industry, and continues developing new projects.

MINE LLC donates a portion of its profits to children's cancer research in memory of Dani Stell who died of cancer in 1999. Dani was 19 when she died of cancer and was the daughter of Ms. Michele Ashby, CEO of MINE LLC.
Ms. Ashby formed a foundation in her daughter's name to raise money for children's cancer research and find a cure for this dreaded disease. Dani's Foundation also supports young people with challenging life situations and their families. Donations can be made on-line through www.danisfoundation.org
MINE LLC has also created the Africa Girls Project in Livingstone, Zambia with the Lushomo Trust.
The Lushomo Trust is born out of the vision of the founder A.A.C. Ranjan to protect the sexually abused or sexually molested girls in Zambia. Lushomo Trust was formed with the international partnership with Michele Ashby, who agreed to fund the program to protect the sexually abused children and named it Dani's Home. Part of the mission of Ms. Ashby's business is to make donations to worthy causes related to young teen girls or children and their families with cancer. A portion of the profits from the annual mining conference held in Livingstone go to this shelter.
